Our Perspective

Professional Mediation Associates . . .
Advances the practice of mediation
Produces solutions for many kinds of disputes
Trains conflict-resolution professionals
Designs conflict-resolution programs

Mediation works.  It can be effective at any stage of a dispute, from its origin to after the onset of litigation and even on appeal.

At its best, it combines insight, practical analysis and skillful communication to reveal previously unnoticed possibilities.  It invites us to be openminded and creative in finding constructive solutions to disputes.

The flexibility and direct nature of mediation allows us to focus on the key issues and unique interests of each party.  It results in comprehensive, effective agreements.

The method one chooses to settle a dispute makes a great difference in how fair, how costly, how stressful, and how lasting the solution turns out to be.

We believe that, for most cases, mediation is the best way to find the best solutions.
